| The Retract Around™ is a retractable, rotating, tangle free tie out for small to mid size animals weighing up to 27 lbs. After you insert the Retract Around™ into the ground using the spiral stake, the animal can then move in a 360 degree radius while the leash fully extends up to a 20 foot length. The leash then smoothly retracts as the animal retreats back towards the Retract Around™, drastically reducing the risk of entanglement. |
My name is David Head and I am the inventor of the Retract Around™. I created the Retract Around ™ simply to keep our beloved Beagle Sophie safe and sound while she wandered about the yard. So many times Sophie would get tangled up in a standard stake/tether when she was outside our home. Not having a fenced in yard, it caused me to worry more and dread what could possibly happen to if I took my attention off of her for a split second. The Retract Around™ is a rotating, retracting ground secured leash/tether for small to mid-sized dogs, as well as puppies of any breed up to 27lbs in weight. Dogs can run, jump and play while secured to their leash without worries of entanglement or injury. I could not find anything like this anywhere when we adopted Sophie. I couldn't believe it since safety is so important, (not to mention getting tangled in the tethering devices was such a common occurrence for her). So, I made it. The Retract Around™ is extremely portable as well. Bring it along to the park, on picnics, to your neighbor's house, camping or on family trips. It can easily fit under a car seat, will take up little room in a suitcase and is ideal for travel. |
